Partly Completed Machines

Partly Completed Machines

Partly Completed Machinery” is intended to be assembled with other machinery ultimately forming a complete machine "assembly". A “Partly Completed Machinery” cannot meet all the Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR's) in its partly completed state as it is reliant upon the additional measures provided by the final assembly to satisfy and complete the outstanding requirements. Partly completed machinery MUST NOT be CE Marked but must also be supplied with a “Declaration of Incorporation” (UK or EC) which must include a list of the EHSR’s that have been fulfilled and preferably highlighting those that remain outstanding for completion.  When the completed machine is assembled, the assembly as a whole, must be assessed and must fulfil all the relevant Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR) required for any “complete” machine. Finally, this “complete” machine (assembly) can be declared compliant and CE Marked or UKCA Marked as appropriate.
