EU Directives, UK Regulations and Standards for Machines
The objective of this course is to make Directors and Managers aware of the Machinery related European Directives, their company’s obligations under the Machinery Safety Regulations and how the use of standards can guide the way to compliance with their “essential requirements”. CE Marking For Machinery
The objective of this course is to give designers of machinery the knowledge and tools to design safe machinery in accordance with European Union Machinery, and associated Directives, and to declare compliance by CE Marking. (Course ref: 2007-9011)
Acqusition and the Safe Use of Machinery (PUWER98)
The objective of this course is to equip users of machinery with the knowledge to use and maintain their machinery reliably and safely in accordance with their obligations under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. Also to assist them in when purchasing new and second hand equipment by developing awareness of the manufactures obligations under EU Directives in particular the processes involved in CE Marking. Application of Functional Safety to Machinery Systems
The objective of this course is to give designers of safety related control systems for machinery, the knowledge and tools to develop state of the art “Functional Safety Systems” in accordance with EN 62061 and practical methods of verification and validation of their designs to the new EN ISO 13849-1. Safety of Machinery – Design and Use
The objective of this course is to give managers, designers and users of machinery the in-depth knowledge and skills to design, purchase and use safe machinery in accordance with European Union Machinery, and associated Directives. It will enable designers, manufactures and importers to declare compliance by CE Marking of new machinery and users to install, use and maintain machinery in a safe and reliable condition in accordance with the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. BSI “Designing Safe Machinery” – PP7722-2006
This course, as developed by the British Standards Institute, will provide engineering students will a thorough understanding of all the hazards associated with machinery, and the principles of machinery risk assessment. They will gain practical experience of designing machine guards, selecting interlocking devices, designing access steps and ladders and of producing the documentation necessary to comply with the EU Machinery Directive.
